Heniff Honors Recipient of TCA's Highway Angel Award
The Truckload Carriers Association this year recognized Heniff Transportation Systems professional driver Juan Vasquez as a Highway Angel for helping others while on the road.
To honor his award-worthy actions, Heniff recently hosted a company-wide event.
“Our entire organization is extremely pleased to show our admiration to Juan for his service and achievement,” said Bob Heniff, founder and CEO. “We are certainly proud of his demonstrated commitment to safety in line with our mission. But more than that, we are proud to honor him for his exemplary compassion and humanity to risk his life for others in dire situations.”
Since its inception in 1997, TCA’s Highway Angel program has recognized nearly 1,300 truck drivers for “exemplary courtesy and courage” shown to others while on North America’s roadways.

Vasquez, who operates out of Heniff’s Pedricktown, N.J. terminal, received his Highway Angel award in April. The Delaware native earned the distinction Jan. 24 by using his truck to block rush hour traffic on I-76 in order to rescue a distressed woman from the middle of the five-lane highway and bring her to safety.
